The Orange County real estate market is a sellers market right now but don’t tell that to some home buyers who are still submitting super low offers like it’s 2009 and many sellers in Orange County are not accepting the low ball offers because, they’ve become real estate savvy and know that they can get a better offer from the next buyer.

Dream On Buyers

Realtors in California aren’t just the only ones who are dealing with lowball buyers; in Florida, realtors like Jackie Smith, a top listing agent Pal Beach and Broward counties has taken to warning buyers before they even submit their offer that they shouldn’t consider the possibility of getting a “steal” on the home they are buying.

Could the reason why some buyers are looking for steals be because they are not educated on the reality of the current real estate market? If you ask Nestler Poletto, a top realtor with Sotheby’s International in Florida, buyers are not hurting for cash or desperate, they are making lowball offers because they can even if they are submitting the wrong offers.

What Exactly Is A Low Ball Offer?

A low-ball offer typically is an offer that’s at least 80 to 90 percent lower than the asking price and the sad thing is that many buyers these days are making offers that are so unreasonable that they are being laughed away from the table.

Sellers these days are not stupid and know that they can get far more than what they are asking because, with a low supply for homes in Orange County and the rest of the nation these days combined with a high demand, sellers are able to get the asking prices that they want for their homes without fear of turning down or rejecting some offers
