It’s hard to believe that we are already in the middle of summer 2014 and with plenty of warm weather in Orange County there are still plenty of fun things to do this summer.
This list will give you tons of great ideas for summer activities especially if you have children and are wondering how to keep them busy since most kids still have over one month left until school starts.
John Wayne Airport – If you’re interested in learning more about the history of flight including how airplanes really work come to the John Wayne Airport between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm daily for an airport tour.
Centennial Farm – Want to see what a working farm is like in action? Come to Centennial Farm at the OC Fair between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm between Monday and Friday daily. This three acre farm has it all including goats, chickens, pigs plus plenty of crops that they are growing throughout the year.
Come to Segerstrom Center for the Arts every Monday from July 7th for Movie Mondays” and watch classic movies like “The Little Colonel” to more modern movies like “Spice World” under the stars at this 46,000 square foot facility. Movies here start at dusk so be sure to get here early to enjoy some of Orange County’s best food trucks beforehand.
If you’re a Shakespeare fan or you want to expose your kids to Shakespeare’s classic don’t miss Shakespeare by the Sea at the Bonita Canyon Sports Park in Newport Beach this Saturday July 19th and Sunday and 20th 2014 from 7:00 pm to 9:00pm. A professional Shakespeare troupe will be performing the classics like Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
When was the last time that you went bowling? If it’s been a while come to Concourse Bowling where kids will enjoy two free games per day thanks to their awesome program to keep kids moving this summer.
What’s better than surfing in Orange County right? Come to the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing between July 26th ant August 3rd watch the pros in action and learn from the best.
